Happy Thanksgiving Blog Visitors,
I don’t post much here anymore. I’m okay with that. I leave this site up as a resource. Sometimes, “school’s” targets find this blog. They reach out to me through it. That’s enough.
Today, the holiday season kicks off & I want to share thoughts about gratitude. I learned the most about gratitude when I left the little mom & pop cult formerly known as “school”, odyssey study group, “the study” (etc, etc, etc). Everyday, I’m grateful for my freedom: the cult no longer holds power over me, hijacks my time, attention & focus. I left before the cult inflicted irreparable damage. I safeguard my freedom fiercely.
Ironically, I found the purpose that I sought from the cult, by leaving it. My “school” role was to be the unemployable loser. Today, I have a full therapy practice as a cult recovery specialist, helping other Gentle Souls reclaim and protect themselves. I love it. I published a book. No one micromanages or lords over my career choices.
Every November, come Thanksgiving, I’m especially grateful that the cult’s “Christmas Party” can’t ever hijack my holidays again. If you suspect that a “new friend” is recruiting you, read the Christmas Party post. Bring it up with your “new friend” and see how they respond. Do they squirm? Do they deflect? Do they deny?
Happy cult-free Thanksgiving, fellow “disgruntled ex-students!” For those attending “classes” currently, and suspicious of the entire thing, here’s to your quick departure from the hollow halls before the “tuition” kicks into gear.
Cheers, GSR
